During World War II, the Pevensie children, like many others, are evacuated from London and move to the English countryside. While there, all four kids travel through a wardrobe to the land of Narnia and learn of their destiny to free it with the guidance of a mystical lion named Aslan. C.S. Lewis’ story brought to glorious life on the screen and appeals to both children and adults on different levels. Children love it for the adventure and the talking lion, while adults will pick up on the rich mythology and religious symbolism in the story. The film is faithful to Lewis’ original book.
This is the 2005 Walt Disney Pictures production of the story, as shown in theaters. Blu-Ray Hi-Def DVD was released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in August, 2011. Available to backorder.
