Who is Old Maid Cat Lady?
Hi! Lynn Thompson here, founder of "Old Maid Cat Lady". I adopted my first cats over 22 years ago. They've always been like children to me. You, too? Then this is the site for you! Bookmark it right this instant.
We offer the best products we can find for your cat, maybe even things you haven't been able to find elsewhere. Since we have cats ourselves, we know what cats need. You'll find solutions for:
- cat behavior problems
- litterbox issues
- cat health challenges
- feline nutrition
- kitty playtime
- queening, kitten and senior cat care
But that's not all! You'll also find plenty of things for yourself, with more new products being added all the time. We have:
- clothing with cats on it
- cat-themed jewelry
- cat home decor
- cat desk accessories for your office
- kitty-themed stationery, cards, and party supplies
- cat costumes
...you name it, we want to make it available to you. And to keep prices reasonable, we have everything shipped to you directly from our suppliers, so you don't have to pay for the extra cost of our warehousing the products ourselves. This can also sometimes mean that products showing on our site may no longer be available; they were at the time we put them on the site, but are always subject to being backordered or discontinued, since we don't receive inventory updates from every supplier. We do our best to keep the site updated and apologize for any inconvenience if a product you order is not available.
Anything missing? Shoot us an e-mail and we'll research it. We love to find new cat-related products! When I couldn't find the kind of fancy collars I wanted for my first cats, I even resorted to having them made under my own brand, "Haute Cature Designs", until others began offering similar products with less work. That tells you the lengths to which we'll go for our cats! Old Maid Cat Lady wants to be your comprehensive online source for all things "cat".
Oh, and where'd we get that funky name? The video above really explains it best. It all sprang from a nasty comment someone posted when I was featured in the local newspaper in a photo with my then-21-year-old cat, Vixen. Not being one to let someone else steal my joy, I decided that would be a delightful name for my new online store. This way, I can help all my fellow "old maid cat ladies" out there to find the same kinds of things I've been seeking for more than 20 years! So enjoy the laugh with us, and get to shopping. Your cats are tired of waiting!
Please note that charges you make on Old Maid Cat Lady will show up on your statements as coming from Thompson Writing and Editing, which is my parent company name.
